continuing our weekly installation of some of the good stuff that happened this week (or I found this week) that you may or may not have heard about:
openID : possibly the new online identity method that may save the average user from phishing, scams, and identity theft. it’s basically a way for a user to sign into one account and browse whatever websites they’d like under that account for sites that support the openID methodology. think of it like this: the current process is: having to use different types of money at different stores when you buy groceriers; openID is: using the same American cash at all stores because they accept it. claim yours here.
allofmp3 hacked : check my other howto post. wait a minute, so was apple itunes.
mac comes out with core 2 duo : if you waited to buy a macbook, good job. for those that didn’t, d’oh!
firefox 2 is officially released : new tabbed browing; IE7 just can’t keep up.
for all the sprint customers, you can finally have you’re official razr.
