peekvid: free movies, tv shows, and cartoons

awhile ago, i had a post about watching live tv on your computer. well, it looks like the channels within the tvuplayer have been discontinued. fear not, however! i’ll have to find another alternative to live tv broadcasts.

peekvid.com is a site with over 20,000 videos including movies, tv shows, cartoons, anime, comedy programs, and international flicks to wet that broadband-video appetite. using the encoding and streaming technologies of youtube.com and dailymotion.com, simply pick your category, find your show, and enjoy!

some of the movies, as you would expect, are bootleg. i was trying to watch the credits of blood diamond the other day because my boy helped produce it, but the audio was poorly dubbed and people started standing up in the actual movie! dah well. at least the pursuit of happyness was good quality. with the price of movie tickets here in london amounting to 9 quid (18 bucks) per person, peekvid.com is just what this traveling tech guy needs.
