Quantcast Prints for your wall « Young Black Professional Guide

Black Web Media Network

Whether you’re decorating your first apartment or furnishing your new home, selecting the right print to hang on your wall can be exciting. However, given the limited selection of African-American art offered by your local art gallery, your excitement can soon turn to discouragement. But never fear, YBP, the internet can be the ultimate art gallery!

I recently came across a website that offers a diverse selection of African-American prints and art. Artisan Arts Online offers prints, calendars, greeting cards, etc. from African-American artists. Although the website is not the most appealing, it does allow you to search by the artist’s name or by a very simplistic keyword search. You can either place your order online or call toll free to speak with a representative. I called the toll free number and spoke with a representative to place my order. The customer service was excellent and I received my print in less than five business days.

Now, if you’re interested in purchasing prints from a particular artist, you may be able to order directly from the artist’s website. For instance, Kevin A. Williams, known for paintings that are signed WAK, offers open edition and limited edition prints on his website. Also, Maurice Evans’ offerings range from originals for collectors to print reproductions for those of us just trying to add some color in our decor.

Now that you are armed with the seemingly unlimited resources of the net, find that perfect print and make your place YOURS!
