april is finally upon us and the young black professional guide is officially going into its six month of operation. hooray, ybpguide is a pre-teen!

i started thinking about all the good posts that we had on the blogspot domain that some of our new readers might have missed out on. well, no more i say! enjoy the roundup of some of our ‘howto’ posts.

also, don’t forget that you can always search on the site using the nifty search bar on the upper-right hand side above the header image.

• gmail – fall in love ‘all over again’ with google’s email program, by far the best available. this post has complete screenshots as well as some cool tips on setting up labels, your contacts, etc.
• dohowto – a reader tipped us off in february about a cool tutorial site for those that want to explore any application, including well-known goodies like photoshop, illustrator, and flash. dohowto.com has a very nice layout, but it seems to relay on videos posted on other websites which may lead to broken links.
• learning to program – come on! you know you’re at least a little curious. this post just had one link, but what a link! definitely check it out for those looking to dip their toes (or refresh your love) for the realm of coding.
• PayPal – quite possibly the easiest way to send money to someone, this post highlighted ‘all things cool’ about paypal. owned by ebay, paypal is western union 2.0. check the links in the post for password tips too!
• rss – all the way back in october (literally our third day), i made a few screenshots and explained real simple syndication, or rss. many of you know about our nice and shiny subscribe button, but did you know that if you have firefox, you can keep up with ybpguide via a ‘live bookmark’? check out the post for more details, complete with ‘old blogger’ screenshots and everything!
