Young Black Professional Guide to Black Radio StationsBlack-owned Roberts Broadcasting Cos. LLC, which operates four TV stations and a hip-hop radio station, instituted a new policy prohibiting language that it deems violent, sexist and racist. Chairman and CEO Michael Roberts said in a statement, “This policy is designed to not only raise awareness about the continuing problem of racism and the oppression of women, but to cause people to stop and evaluate their own personal attitudes and behaviors.”

They are changing something that they can control. What can you change that you can control? How about the music in your MP3 player or the language you use? Maybe mentor a young person and be a positive influence on them?
