Young Black Professional Guide PlanHQ

Listen up all you YBP Entrepreneurs. If you’re trying to get your business off the ground but aren’t sure where to start, check out PlanHQ- a website that walks you through the process of designing a business plan. Business planning with PlanHQ is sort of a paint-by-numbers process, which makes it an especially useful resource for people interested in starting a business who don’t know all that much about business. Not only does PlanHQ help you set up your business plan, but it also helps you keep an eye on your goals, team members, finances, and market. Unfortunately, PlanHQ does not have a free version, but they do offer a 30-day free trial, and you can export your business plan after that point. Premium plans range from $9-$49/month. Read more about it at Work Happy.

We have to plan, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Challenge your self to be real and be conservative. A lot of business plans are best case pie in the sky. It may make you excited to plan for a lot of revenue but it dose no good if your revenue projections are way off on the light side

  • Thanks Kimberly,

We’ve got plenty of good businesses coming over from WorkHappy, and getting plenty of startups and growing businesses starting to bring their plans to life on PlanHQ.

We’ve definitely taken the approach of helping you turn your plans into real tangible things you can focus on and achieve. As you say JD, most plans are pie in the sky, and because they’re usually trapped in documents, theres no easy way to track them, we’re trying to get people focused on setting realistic plans that they do actually achieve.

    cheers,

    tim

  • The business plan is most important in starting a business. It will also help if you started a business and don’t have a plan. I have used a plan whenever I started a business and use one now. It helps with projections and allows you to adjust for changing business conditions.
