michael vick is an embarrassmentyup, i said it. what a waste. dah well.

on to the news…

nothing to fear, but fear itself, right? well, apparently even that isn’t even true anymore. the geniuses over at MIT have actually laid claim to finding a cure for fear. the science and technology is based upon controlling and suppressing a particular enzyme in the brain. the ’stored fear’ that is mentioned in the article would apply to those who suffer from post-traumatic stress due to an event that one just can’t shake. sunrocket is deadvoice-over-ip (voip) is awesome. you basically get to talk for as long as you walk, crystal clear through an established internet connection. the main criticism, however, is that if your internet goes down, so does your phone. while i think having a cell phone is a proper backup, sometimes you just get hosed when dealing with voip, as the 200,000+ customers of sunrocket found out. the company decided to sneak out the back door and shutdown their services without notifying a single person. excellent business ethics, people. indeed. i’d recommend skype. here’s a cool little freebie. the new tech columnist over at the tribe has a neat article that expounds on our previous audacity post regarding recording free music and extends that philosophy to making your own ringtones. while i personally am not a feign for ringtones, i know this hack can be appreciated. it costs 2 million dollars to purchase. it takes 5 million dollars to make each one. it took 5 years for 50 engineers to perfect its transmission. it is a technological marvel, and someone just wasted it to pieces. the orgasmic bugatti veyron is a car that can do 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 253 mph. in the hands of idiots, one has now become a part of history (literally) as it now is the most expensive car crash, ever. rest in peace, oh beast-0f-a-car.
