nothing to fear, but fear itself, right? well, apparently even that isn’t even true anymore. the geniuses over at MIT have actually laid claim to finding a cure for fear. the science and technology is based upon controlling and suppressing a particular enzyme in the brain. the ’stored fear’ that is mentioned in the article would apply to those who suffer from post-traumatic stress due to an event that one just can’t shake. voice-over-ip (voip) is awesome. you basically get to talk for as long as you walk, crystal clear through an established internet connection. the main criticism, however, is that if your internet goes down, so does your phone. while i think having a cell phone is a proper backup, sometimes you just get hosed when dealing with voip, as the 200,000+ customers of sunrocket found out. the company decided to sneak out the back door and shutdown their services without notifying a single person. excellent business ethics, people. indeed. i’d recommend skype.
