our political system has been shaken hard this year by tons of new avenues. barack has made lots of money through online campaigns. presidential debates are being held at historically black colleges where the topics surround issues most affecting minorities. now, politics 2.0, will usher in the youtube era.
july 23 will be the first time, in history, that a presidential debate will be dictated by questions submitted by users via youtube. no press. no fodder. no filters.
being the techie i am, i’m really excited to see how this goes. there is obviously a at least one filter since someone has to choose which videos will be aired, but still…cool beans.
video submissions are allowed up until july 22nd. (more via cnn)

Barack and Clinton will be at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Vegas in three weeks. I hope to have an update for you from there.
