we’re often bombarded in the mainstream news with missing persons, often those victims being white. while no person’s circumstance should be undermined by debates of the color of skin, it does represent an unsaid bias that many know exist in our culture. the internet has provided a voice to many sides, and nothing is closer to the truth than the blog ‘black and missing, but not forgotten‘.
the case of nailah franklin, a missing chicago woman, has managed to pierce all mediums (including msnbc and cnn) and is a personal connection for kimberly and i. she went to our high school, is part of our extended family, and is known in our social circle. with all the readers (new and old), please help us find our friend. please continue to pray for her, her family, and her friends.

I really hope they find Nailah safe. Black and missing is a much needed site. We need more sites like it.
