On the heels of the death of Sean Taylor, Barry Bonds’ inevitable perjury case and the obligatory O.J. story, I discovered that a fellow UNC alum and a professional peer of mine Bomani Jones will be teaching a class called “The Black Athlete in America” …. at Duke University of all places … during basketball season.

I have never really wanted to be at Duke University. I’ve just ended up there at times. But I’ll admit that if I could enroll in this class – if for nothing more than to hear the discussion, I would.

What will the curriculum be? Will any professional athletes be guest lectures? What will the response be?
