For some of us, the last week of work couldn’t come fast enough. The end of the year brings a time of family, rejuvenation, reflection, and partying. Yup, nothing says ‘Thank you Lord for getting me through another year’ like getting sloshed-faced at the spot on December 31st.

All joking aside, 2007 has been nothing shy of an amazing year. This blog and its writers thank our readers for their support and they are just one, of but a few things, I am thankful for. With all that is going on in the world, it never hurts to count your blessings and remember all the positive things surrounding you everyday.

Here’s my short list:

1. Getting married (Love ya babe!)
2. My family’s health.
3. My baby sister finding her place in history as the next Spelman woman, soon-to-be graduate (2011).
4. Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton making history (in my lifetime).
5. Other positive black blogs (check the blogroll).
6. The recent string of positive black movies (This Christmas, The Great Debators, Why Did I Get Married)
7. The Jena 6 release, Shaquanda Cotton’s release, Genarlow Wilson’s release.
8. Positive young black images in the news (Lewis Hamilton, Jeffrey Lynn Hall Jr)
