Watch this video without sound.
Then turn the sound up.
Is this clever cognitive dissonance or a clever lie?
I know. That’s mad vague. I don’t want to give too much away though.
Discuss.

I don’t get it. Help me out. That’s not the song that goes with that video.

Yeah sorry, I don’t get it either. Thought maybe I was the only one missing something.

You might be looking too deeply into it.
I also wasn’t clear. My mistake.
The song is by Solange. The video I hat tipped Purple Zoe in the post. The video is put together with the song randomly.
I was curious what people thought about the juxtaposition of the images in the video versus the words of (i.e. images evoked by) the song.
So, one could ask if it matters that Solange herself didn’t put the song with the video images. Valid question. How much does that influence what can be said about the dissonance between her presumed attitude toward the industry in the song and her activity in the industry in the videos?
Or something like that.
Random thoughts for a random Tuesday.
Does that help?
