If you have never witnessed your nieghborhood/ ravaged by social ills (read here: unemployment, addiction, crime, violence, chronic illness, under-education, etc, etc...) where would you gleen favor in such a notion. If yours is a legacy of secrecy, cut-throat politics , and every-man-for-himself ideologies then how could you possibly place any value in this thing called community organizing.
