…to get rid (or drastically change) BET, somehow get D.L. Hughley’s show off the air (or at least off of CNN), and ask David Alan Grier to abandon his cheesy Chappelle Show knock-off.
But I don’t want to be too quick to get past today’s euphoria.
Congratulations to everyone keeping hope alive and electing your new American President. While I look forward to retelling this day to my little one and debating the importance of these times philosophically, I also smile back at all the generations before us that made this day possible.
For those wishing to capture today, you can get a framed front page edition of today’s Chicago Tribune as well as request back issues from the Chicago Sun-Times.
Also check out the quotes and opinions from a few notable African-Americans, including Toni Morrison, Samuel L. Jackson, Maya Angelou, and Spike Lee. [H/T JnJ]
Oh yeah, and for those that missed it, Lewis Hamilton, the British-born F1 driver who we highlighted earlier, became the youngest and first Black F1 champion.
A great week it’s been….indeed.

I'm so upset with myself for tuning in to the Chocolate News one night while channel surfing. Coonery at it's finest! Hopefully with more positive images like the Obamas in the news, more Black oriented television shows will clean up their act.
